AutoCAD Free [April-2022] AutoCAD 2017 includes the following new features and enhancements: ArtsLink, which is a software technology for authoring vector illustrations. The following video shows how to use the new Artboard feature: You can save the same drawing in multiple artboards, and you can create a drawing that includes multiple versions, each saved in a separate artboard. Artboards have been available since AutoCAD 2010 (LXW), and they work with.dwg,.dxf, and.dwgx files. Here’s an overview of how to use artboards: Select one or more drawings in a drawing area or from a database of drawings. Start the Artboard feature by selecting the Start Artboard icon on the toolbar. In the Select Drawing dialog box, choose one or more files. Choose the starting drawing (click the plus sign next to the previous drawing). Use the Move and Scale or Rotate drop-down list to manipulate the starting drawing. Choose the Artboard tool, and drag the first artboard to the drawing area or database. Use the Move and Scale or Rotate drop-down lists to move the artboard and the drawing in relation to one another. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each artboard. To create a drawing with multiple versions, choose the first drawing in the artboard selection list. In the Select Drawing dialog box, choose File | New Artboard. In the New Artboard dialog box, use the drop-down list to AutoCAD AutoCAD scripting is implemented in AutoLISP, Visual LISP or VBA. A script can be placed in the program's startup folder (accessible under the Edit menu) or an external program can be used to execute it. Easy Device Constraint to Design Validation: Have you ever wanted to see if the path you’re about to draw is possible? AutoCAD 2023 provides you with a “movable curtain” design constraint that you can move across your drawing so you can see the path before you create it. You can also select multiple, non-contiguous areas in your drawing and have the constraint place a polyline boundary around those areas (ex: a dashboard with areas for a touch screen and a mouse). If you’re using straight or curved lines or curves, the constraint will show you the path for that shape, too. What’s new in AutoCAD 2022 Rasterize: We’ve added a new “Rasterize” tool option (T) in the Layer Creation dialog box, which can be used to convert a line or polyline to a layer mask. This can be used to reduce the color of a line or polyline, or to create a solid color layer mask. See our blog post, “Make a Solid Line Layer Mask in AutoCAD,” for more information. Use the T key on a tool to convert the item to a layer mask. To remove the layer mask, use the X key on the tool. The T and X keys are also available in the Layer Creation dialog box. The Layer Creation dialog box provides multiple methods for adding and removing layer masks. The previous approach used a separate tool in a separate menu bar for creating and editing layer masks. The new method is more accessible, and allows you to make changes to the entire object with just one tool. AutoSnap in Layered Editing: With Layered Editing, you can snap to the currently active layer in the drawing, so you don’t need to create multiple layers to snap to a separate parts. Drawing Editing Improvements In AutoCAD 2023, you can now filter the drawing area using the drop-down filter bar at the top of the status bar. In addition to the filter bar, you can now also filter objects on the Tool Palettes.
